Starting Monday, September 16, 2019 the “RDCRN Members Login” link on the top of the familiar RDCRN Network homepage will lead to a new login page

The way most users authenticate log in to the RDCRN website is changing fundamentally for the vast majority of users: instead of needing to have . Rather than using local credentials with the DMCC, users are now strongly encouraged to use their credentials from their home institution or the NIH to authenticate to the DMCC. Not only will this greatly simplify the login process for users, it also relieves the DMCC from having to hold and manage passwords.

If your e-mail address was registered with the previous DMCC, then your a user had access to the previous DMCC’s infrastructure, their e-mail address and consortium membership has credentials have been pre-loaded into our system. Please use These users should follow one of the following algorithm to establish how you will authenticate processes to log in to the RDCRN from now onnew RDCRN system. New users can use the “Request Access” button and fill out an access request form.

1a – Logging in with your Institutional Credentials (preferred method)

  • A. Searching . Visit https://www.rarediseasesnetwork.org/ and choose “RDCRN Members Login” in the upper right corner of the page. Search for your home institution by typing your organization’s name into the search box (or click on the “Allow me to pick from a list” link to see all 3000+ institutions that provide federated authentication services to us).   • B. Enter your credentials to authenticate to your home institution.

  • C. If your e-mail address is already registered with the DMCC and associated with a consortium, then you will see the Members’ Landing Page next. You can skip the rest of Section 1 and Please proceed to Section 2 of this User Guide! Step 2.

  • D. If your e-mail address is not already registered , then with the DMCC and associated with a consortium, you will arrive at an account request Account Request form. Please choose your consortium, fill in complete the rest of the form and submitpress “Submit.DMCC Project Managers project managers will check with your consortium leadership and assign you to the correct permissions group. NOTE: Please allow for five working days for this vetting process to complete – we process. We are likely to experience high initial volume of such requests and will respond as quickly as possible.
