Add or edit diseases on this page

You can make updates to this page by selecting “Edit” in the Admin Menu from the bottom of the page. If you don’t see these options, please sign in to Drupal.

  1. To update the heading, click on the “Edit” button to the right of the top “Container” component.

Next click “Edit” to the right of the “Heading” component.

Once finished, click save at the bottom of the page. Updates will show on the live site immediately.

  2. To add or edit diseases listed, click on “Edit” under the third component titled “Container” (card-container)

  1. Click on “Edit” under the component titled “Accordion”

  1. You will now see an accordion that has been created for each disease studied that is currently listed on the website here: Diseases Studied

To add a new disease, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click “Add Accordion Item”. (You don’t need to click the down arrow next to this selection, just click on the gray box.)

  1. Clicking on this box gives you a blank new accordion item to fill in.

  1. Enter a heading in the “Heading” box and enter the disease description under “Details”. If you are copying and pasting from Word, be sure to click on the “Source” button and copy text there in order to keep the HTML code clean. If your copy has more than one paragraph or if there are bullets, you can click “source” again after adding the copy and you can then add returns and bullets as needed similar to what you would do if you were in a Word document. (for bullets, highlight the copy you wish to include, then choose either the bullet or number button)

  2. Button- if you look at the figure in #4 above, you will see a “Button” tab. This doesn’t have to be filled in but can be used if you would like to link out to GARD or other similar sites which may have more information on a particular disease.

  3. Heading Settings- if you look at the figure in #4 above, you will see a “Heading Settings” tab. The default is set to H2. If you change this for one accordion, it DOES NOT change it for the rest of the accordions. I would suggest that you don’t change this.

  4. Next step is to move the new accordion item to the correct place within the accordion. This accordion is in alpha order, so you would move your new accordion item up based on where it would fall.

You move an accordion item by clicking next to the line with an up and down carrot until your accordion item box that you wish to move turns yellow:

  1. Drag the accordion item to where you wish to place it. Unfortunately, you can only move it in front of one section of an accordion item at a time. Repeat this step of choosing the accordion item to move and then dragging it until you have it placed where you’d like within the accordion.

  2. You can then either click “Preview” at the bottom of the page to review your changes or choose “Save”. Once you click on “Save”, your update will show immediately on the live site.

  1. To edit an existing disease, locate the disease within the accordion, click “Edit”. Makes updates after the clicking the “Source” button.

  2. Once finished, scroll to the bottom of the page. Click “Save”. Your update will show immediately on the live site.
